CURRENT VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES AT LGCC
Our teams are a great place to start your serving journey and a brilliant to get to know others and grow in your relationship with Jesus. As you serve others, you learn much about yourself and others. Take a look at some of the teams below and you’ll find a brief description, time commitment involved and some of the skills they are looking for.

MAC OPERATOR
What: Operate Pro-Presenter on the Mac which controls all that is projected onto the screens (song lyrics, videos, slides etc.).
Time Commitment: One Sunday morning per month, the Thursday night rehearsal prior to the Sunday morning and monthly team nights.
Sunday 8:30-12:00 and Thursday 19:45-21:30
Skills: A basic understanding of computers. Training will be provided for those who are interested.
STREAM MANAGER
What: Responsible for overseeing the running of the Livestream. This includes communicating with camera operators, switching between camera shots and setting up the streaming equipment.
Time Commitment: One Sunday morning per month and training.
Sunday 9:00-12:00
Skills: A basic understanding of computers, camera work and media is desired. Training will be provided.
CAMERA OPERATOR
What: Responsible for operating a camera to provide a visual experience for those watching the livestream
Time Commitment: One Sunday morning per month and training.
Sunday 9:30-12:00
Skills: A basic understanding of camera work and media is desired. Training will be provided.
PHOTOGRAPHY
What: Photographing Sunday services, special events and various projects (this could be promotional projects or portraits)
Time commitment: once a month, plus there may be additional requests for special events
Skills required: basic photography skills desired. An understanding of composition and a willingness to grow in your skill and knowledge
SOCIAL MEDIA
What: being a part of our Social Media Team creating posts to engage with our congregation and beyond. Delivering encouragement, information, testimonies and vision through contemporary design
Time commitment: 1 hour a week plus 1 Sunday a month (plus additional training and team meetings)
Skills required: creative thinking and basic design skills.

SINGERS AND MUSICIANS
What: Serve as part of our worship team by singing or playing an instrument
Time commitment: One Sunday a month minimum and attending the Thursday rehearsal prior to that Sunday. Attend monthly team nights.
Thursday 19:45-21:45 Sunday 8:30-12:00. Team night: Usually the first Thursday of the month- 19:30
Skills: A worshipping heart and sufficient competence in your instrument/singing.

What: Serve as part of our Limitless Kids team that invest in the Next Generation during our Sunday morning Gatherings, Connect groups and/or special events.
Time commitment: Serve on a rota on a minimum of once a month for our Sunday morning gatherings (9:15am - 12:15pm)
Serve our Connect groups that run once a fortnight online and/or in person term time only.
Be willing to serve at our special events throughout the year as and when they occur.
Attend team meetings regularly (usually once a term).
Skills required: A heart to serve, pastor, equip and disciple children. We will provide safeguarding training and ongoing further training and support to help you develop as a leader.

What: Serve as part of our Limitless Kids team to provide dedicated support for children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). Willingness to receive training to develop skills in this important area.
Time commitment: Serve on a rota on a minimum of once a month for our Sunday morning gatherings (9:15am - 12:15pm).
Attend team meetings regularly (usually once a term).Skills required: A heart to serve, pastor, equip and disciple children. We will provide appropriate training and support to help you develop as a leader.

What: Serve as part of our Limitless Youth team that invest in young people during our Sunday morning Gatherings, Tuesday youth club and/or special events.
Time commitment: Every other Tuesday evening (7:00pm-9:30pm) and/or once a month Sunday morning (9:30am - 12:30pm).
Be willing to serve at our special events throughout the year as and when they occur.
Attend team meetings regularly (usually once a term).Skills: A heart to serve and disciple young people. A willingness and ability to connect with people and a deep love for Jesus. No experience necessary as we will provide training to help you develop as a leader.

What: Welcome people arriving for our gatherings, creating a comfortable environment through a sincere welcome and/or preparation of refreshments.
Time commitment: Once every four weeks on a Sunday morning (9.30am-12.00pm) and/or evening (5.45pm-8.00pm) plus special events throughout the year.
Skills required: Someone who is genuinely interested in people and a good listener, at ease with people you don’t know. Or a behind-the-scenes type of person, who would be happy preparing tea and coffee.

What: To help tidy and reset the church after the Sunday morning service, to ensure the space is ready for the evening service. Tasks includes cleaning of tables and floors, and checking and restocking washrooms.
Time commitment: Once every four weeks on a Sunday morning, after the morning service (12.15pm-12.45pm).
Skills required: An eye for detail and a heart for ensuring our environment is clean, comfortable and welcoming for our members and visitors.

What: Serve as part of our Wednesday morning Adventure tots team alongside an already established team.
Time commitment: Adventure Tots is every week term time from 9:30 am – 12noon (if arrival can be earlier to assist with set up that would be great).
Roles: Adventure tots is a great opportunity to meet families from LGCC and the community in a fun and relaxed environment. Our role is to welcome all adults and children, connect with them relationally and assist downstairs in the play rooms, upstairs in the community café or both.
Skills required: A heart to serve families and the community. To be happy to meet and talk to all people coming along. To make them feel welcome and at home. To talk to and play with little children. If you have skills in hospitality, then we would live your assistance in our community café that is part of our adventure tots mornings too.

Arise & Shine is our SEND Pre-school toddler play group & carer support group. To serve as part of our Tuesday morning Arise & Shine team alongside an already established team.
Time commitment: Arise & Shine is weekly on Tuesdays (term time only) from 10.00am to 11.15am (arrive at 9.15am for set up please!).
Roles: Arise & Shine is a great opportunity to meet SEND children and families from LGCC and the community in a fun and relaxed environment. Our role is to welcome all adults and children; connect with them relationally and assist in the play rooms with the play activities; offering support and signposting to adults if/when they need.
Skills required: A heart to serve families and the community. To be happy to meet and talk to all people coming along. To make them feel welcome and at home. To talk to and play with little children. If you have skills in hospitality, then we would love your assistance in building relationships and rapport with the adults and assistance with refreshments.

What: Basic admin to assist the church office
Time commitment: Half a day a week (Monday - Thursday)
Skills required: basic computer skills, ability to manage own workload
What: Receptionist to cover staff team meeting
Time commitment: One day a week on a Monday (9:45am - 12:15pm)
Skills required: basic computer skills, ability to manage own workload, good telephone manner, good with people
